History of horror movies and how it has evolved through time 

In the recent situation movies have set a wild fashion amongst movie lovers without which the earth would be a different place to live in. Truly, you can't imagine yourself without movies. You are highly influenced by watching movies. You start thinking in broader features because of the positive impact of movies. Be it any film, romantic, comedy, sensitive, family tale, action, secretive, suspense, animation or horror it has become a main entertainment factor in your lives. Right from the time of Gothic Novels, the stories of vampire, demons, spirits and devils have become quite famous. From the time of “Anglo-Saxon age” the devils, demons and the chivalry love which became greatly accepted, till present the spirits and the imps have sustained their existence through bad deeds in the terror movies. The very first horror film that was on screens in the year 1896 was Le Manoir Du Diable-The House of the Devil, by Georges Melies-a famous French filmmaker. It was on screens on the Christmas Eve, in Paris. It was a small film for two-minutes which represented an obsessed and isolated castle and the mansion where the demon dwelled. After this, horror films gained popularity and interest by many people and since the traditional age of English legendary and because of Gothic novels like Dracula, The Wolf Man, Phantom of the Opera and Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde, Frankenstein and a sequence of Mummy pictures brought the horror films in limelight. Horror films flooded into the movie business and some heart pounding horror movies between 1970's and 80's like The Texas Chainsaw Massacre, Friday The 13th and Nightmare on Elm Street performed remarkably well in the field of horror movies and gained a huge popularity. It remained in the minds of horror movie lovers for many years. Then, in the 1990's some exciting horror films like Scream and I Know What You Did Last Summer, made a grand arrival and scared the huge crowd to the extent that they got shivers also in their dreams. These films drew a large crowd of teens from Colleges and High Schools. Then was a phase of the disrupting psychic monster that murdered people mercilessly. You have even seen the bloody violence that depicted nail-biting movies of Tarantino and the highly scary Asian Horror movies. Then, for years the horror films with psychopathic killer theory along with the remake of Japanese movies and edited versions of traditional horror films ruled the hearts of the subgenre. The Cannibal Holocaust's of the movie industry were ignored as these were restricted and dumped for unknown reasons. There were a few horror movies made after 1994 which comprised top 10 horror clippings and the horror film Pulp Fiction was greatly accepted and preceded among others. Right from the past, from slasher flicks to psychic murderer who murdered innocent girls after which the aggressive merciless killer movies were screened that gained high fame. However, the present sufferers are not as naïve as they were before. The horror movies yet show these insane killers with evil motives to slay and create terror. Eli Roth's Hostel was one of the most horrifying films that was released in the past decade. The horror movies of today are quite disrupting and torturing to create distress and terror in the hearts of the youngsters. But then the latest horror films with terror creating sound effects and the scary graphics has given a new brutal terror image to the films as compared to those in the past. Initially movies were quite simple without any technical effects and sounds but after a great development in the field of pictures these have become more exciting and attractive. There are many Horror and Scary movies that a lot of people who love to watch. The sophisticated technology that creates the special-effects, the terror graphics and the scary music with darkness in the backdrop is what people are anxious to see in latest horror movies. The crowd wouldn't mind pissing off in their pants but would love to watch any horror movies either the past ones of the latest ones.
