You may only like your car to get you from a to b but if your like a lot of us petrol heads you can modify your car so it goes faster, handles better, looks better and is a lot safer. Here is a little guide on what upgrades you could put or do on your car.
Looks are very important as no matter how much power you have under the bonnet of your car it does not mean anything if your car looks terrible. You could choose to paint it this will give you a change of scenery and also if you did not like the cars previous color you can change it. Although you have to watch out for people that have little experience in painting cars as they may apply the paint to blotchy and may get runs in it. You could get some new wheals the current fashion is to have 18 inch wheals that are also 10 inches wide. This will also make your car safer as you have a bigger area on the ground. You may decide to put a body kit on your car these are usually made up of fiberglass on are very flexible but also very strong as well they can make your car look like a totally different car and they are usually quite cheap.
Performance upgrades is what is going to make your car have that extra power when you put your foot down here are a few examples of performance upgrades you can do. You could install a turbo charger this is a fan like thing that runs of the hot gasses from the exhaust and as the fan turns around cold air is placed in it and then hurtled down to the engine. You could install a pod filter this is a filter that cleans out the dust and bad particles from the air that it sucks in they are usually a lot better than the ones you get when you first buy your car as this has a bigger surface area.
When ever you upgrade performance you should always upgrade the safety side of things. You could get a roll cage as these are bent metal bars that link up to make the shape of the inside of your car they are very good if you start to roll and also very good if you are in a crash as it makes the whole car stronger. You may also decide to install bigger breaks as these will help you stop faster and also will not overheat very much. You may want to take them to a mechanic to install though as you do not want anything going wrong while going at high speeds.
In conclusion performance upgrades can be a lot of fun and can teach you a lot but with more power there’s more chances that you will speed so instead of speeding on the road save it for the race track where you can race your friends legally.
