Content Is Still King
Posted by Editing StaffYou’ve probably heard this a million times before, but content is King online and that rule is even more true today than ever before.
Look at the popularity of Social, User Content Generated and other so-called Web 2.0 application sites and just ask yourself what makes them tick?
They’ve all got unique–or fairly unique–hooks in how the content can be used, but the bottom line is they all work because of the content.
From text to media, there’s more demand for new, unique and creative content online today than ever in the past, and it’s still growing.
That’s what makes article directories like Content Caboodle and media sharing sites like YouTube and Houndbite thrive.
Content creators want to get their creations out to the largest number of people, and these content banks provide an easy way to do that in a manner that also makes republishing or re-purposing that content easy for publishers.
So, how do publishers use the content from our directory?
I’m sure there are uses that we’re unaware of, but the majority of publishers want your articles to fill their content needs in eZines and Newsletters, on Web Site Pages and even in eBooks.
And in return for being able to fill their content needs, authors get to expand their reach to new readerships along with their Author’s Resource box information and links.
Our reason for this posting is mainly for authors who might not be aware of how and where their articles could be used. That’s important because if you keep that in mind when writing your articles the odds are you’ll write better material, or present your information with better structure; and improve your chances for it being used by more publishers.
