The Basics Of A Postcard Marketing Layout

What do you think the basics are in a marketing layout for postcard
printing? Do you think it is not any different from the other
kinds? Well, trust me, when you print
postcards for marketing, there are little differences in them that
are distinct from usual travel postcards. If you do not know how
marketing postcards are different from traditional postcard printing,
then let me explain to you the basics of it. There are three basic
aspects of a custom postcard marketing layout.
• The commercial image and background – The first and most important
layout element in a marketing postcard is the commercial image or
background. This is of course the main image on the cover that attracts
people to read and use the color postcard. Usually this must span the
whole card for maximum visibility. However, some people add borders or
use background and foreground elements to make the commercial image
work.
The most important aspect however in this part of the layout is that
it must be distinct and easily noticeable by readers. This is done
through using expert photography and digital graphics to achieve maximum
impact. A lot of time and effort must be sacrificed to get this part of
the layout right, so take this element seriously when making your
layout.
• The message title and text – The next most important part of the
layout of marketing postcards is the message title and text. While the
image may be the attractive factor, the message title and additional
text is the meat of the marketing message. It must usually be placed at a
blank or open area within the postcard layout that does not disturb or
overpower the main cover image.
However, it must be distinctive unto itself with a font color and
font style that pops out from the image. So make sure that you choose
your font style and font color well to make this essential element
effective in your color postcards.
• The call to action – Another important layout element in marketing
postcards is the call to action element. This is basically the
invitation for action once people read the marketing message of the
color postcards. This can simply be a statement to get more information
such as “visit us at our website”, or it can be a more urgent message
such as “hurry! Limited stocks only!”. Whatever the message is though,
the call to action element must always be placed immediately after the
main marketing message. It should be distinct from the main marketing
message with a different font size or font color, but it must not be too
loud as to overpower other design elements.
So those are your major layout elements for marketing postcards. You
must have all three to make your postcard
printing work for marketing. Be sure to choose your elements
carefully and balance them out precisely so that your readers can turn
into potential customers and clients. Good Luck!
