Most dedicated nurses today are growing tired of path their career has taken. Most of them aren’t happy with just simply clocking in on hospitals and do job routines day after day. Even the continuous sneers they get from people because of their line of work haven’t totally stopped. They have also become bored because of the lack career advancement.
But the rise of independent RN contracting has given way to reviving one’s excitement in his field of work. As Independent Nursing Contractor you take control of how you want to run you career. You are giving yourself the freedom to choose when, where and how often you work. It also provides you the chance to increase your income.
As an independent nursing contractor, you contract with healthcare facilities to provide your nursing service which is usually paid by the hour. You have the options to contract directly with a healthcare facility or a patient and continue bedside practice. When you have drawn up a contractual agreement between the facilities or with the patient, you will be able to negotiate your compensations, the number of hours in which you intend to work and to how long you are willing to offer you services.
Nurse Contractors can work in all the areas of the Healthcare Industry such as: Home Health, Nursing Homes, Hospitals, Rehab Centers and Doctor Offices, and all aspects of Nursing Consultation to name a few.
An Existing nurse doesn’t need any further studies unless you include in your business, diagnosis and medical treatments. The State Nurse Practice Acts does not prohibit a nurse to start up their own business offering their services as an Independent Nurse Contractor.
