Free vs. Paid Advertising For Your Opportunity

We are told that we can run the business on a shoestring, and that if we
are willing to work hard, then we will grow our business. Many of us are told
that marketing our business will cost us either time or money – or perhaps some
of both. And for the most part, this is all true. But what we don’t bargain for
is the lack of results when we decide to spend our time instead of our money.
Nor do we bargain for the discouragement that hits us between the eyes after
about three (3) months of our own effort with little or no reward to show for
it.
Unfortunately, this is what those “free” or "cheap" advertising
methods get us in the end. We work our tails off, but don’t seem to get any
results. And then when we go sour on the marketing approach we are taught by
our upline, and when we get our bellies full of it, there is hardly anything
they can say or do at that point – we just want out.
The problem with working those “free” methods is that EVERYBODY is working them
and those mediums are thoroughly saturated by everyone. It is like trying to
cold call people on the phone in the 21st century when everyone has caller ID.
You just aren’t going to get people to answer the phone – much less persuade
them to join your team. It is also worth mentioning that the biggest challenge,
and this is a major obstacle is that you are prospecting people who more than
likely already belong to a money making opportunity. So for your part, your
advertising must be extremely compelling. Another major hurdle with using
"free" or "cheap" advertising is that many subscribers to these
ad exchange networks, which are known for being cheap, only view your website
to collect points, hence, very low or no interest at all.
If you want to stand out from this loud and noisy crowd of network marketers,
then my advice is to allow yourself a healthy and reasonable budget for some
PAID advertising. I guarantee you one thing, I bet that those heavy hitters in
your organization who are signing up 10-15 new enrollments every month are
using paid marketing. And I bet they are NOT going to share their sources with
you either – why should they?
If you are totally new to this, then let me suggest two sources of paid
advertising: google adwords and ezines. These two mediums will let you zero in
on a targeted market in your niche fairly easily. Google adwords will charge you
a certain amount whenever someone clicks on your ad. And with ezines, you can
place an ad for a fixed amount depending on the circulation and the length of
time you want to run the ad.
Do your research and find the most reputable ezines to advertise with. An
important note to consider is that "solo ads" otherwise known as
"stand alone ads" work the best above all others. They are e-mailed
to the subscriber base by themselves. The best thing about ezines is the
subscribers recieve the ezines in their inbox because they want to. They become
a very responsive audience. Be sure to use ezines specific to your money making
opportunity.
You will see results for your efforts when you use "PAID Advertising"
Time and Effort well spent.
