Is Your SEO Company on Page One of Google?

This is a question i ask every single person that says to me “There are so many SEO Companies and they all do the same thing. Submit my site to Directories and article sites, so why should i use you?”.

It is a perfectly valid question and one that i would definately ask before paying out any money for SEO Services. I always reply the same way “If the seo company is as good as their sales pitch then they have to be on page one of Google for several search terms“. Because if they are not then how the hell will they get your business up there?

 Its very easy for any Tom,Dick or Harry to set themselves up as an SEO company but not have the slightest clue as to what they are doing.

Article and Directory Submission Myths

Many Companies claim to submit an article to hundreds of article sites all with links pointing back to your site. Sounds great and it can be, but… If the article submitted is the same one then Google’s duplicate content filter kicks in and discounts them all except a couple. If you think about it Google does not want a page full of links to websites that ‘all say the same thing’. It would hurt its reputation as the top search engine in the world. What they want to offer is lots of different good quality content on the desired search term.

This is why, we only ever submit articles that are ‘unique’ to article directories. This way Google do not penalise you for sending the same content to hundreds of websites.

A similar problem exists with directories and the links and text should also be varied when submitting your site to these.

It is simple things like this that either make your site shoot up the search engine rankings or lie in the doldrums forever. And if an SEO Company uses practises like this and others that ‘do not work; then their own site will definately not be on page 1 of Google. So ask the question before committing yourself.
