Recent trade shows displayed some innovative ideas and improvements on old favorites mean that they still rank right up there. Here's a quick overview of some of the eye-catching tech toys for 2010:

iPhone OS 3.0
Vast improvements on the new iPhone make for some impressive changes. The processor has been boosted from 412 to 600MHz, making it lightening fast. There is no longer any time delay when zooming in on web pages and applications load much more quickly. Additional features allow users to copy and paste data using a landscape keyboard, browse items on the phone, and record voice notes and memos. Most impressive are the 85,000 applications available. The iPhone still appears to me leading the way in terms of cell phone technology.

These include being able to scan and copy documents, browse your computer with an EdgeTouch tool and operate wirelessly. With a wireless charge and docking system, it gets rid of cable clutter and provides you with much more mobility than before. It has intuitive touch controls, making it easy to navigate your workspace.

Canon Vixia HF S11
This camcorder is for the gadget freak-the one who loves fiddling with buttons and settings so he can create the perfect picture. You can adjust the light settings, gain, exposure, shutter speed, focus and white balance according to what you want. If that's you and you like to take control, this is the camcorder for you.
