Picking a winning penny stock is not an exact science. A lot of times there isn't enough information available about the stocks to make an informed decision. This is why penny stock investing carries a much higher risk then the traditional New York Exchange stock markets.

So how do you decide which penny stock to choose?

The best way to pick top penny stocks is to combine your own research with professional advice. There are many stock selection services available to help you pick your stock. When you join one, they might push one particular penny stock for a variety of reasons. They could really believe that the stock will take off and be a success.

On the other hand, they could recommend a stock just to get rid of it or they might be receiving some kind of "incentive" for getting you to purchase that particular stock. Use caution before buying a stock, just because the selection service tells you to buy a particular stock doesn't mean that you should.

Don't throw all of your money into something you believe to be a top penny stock just from your own research. Your judgment might be a little clouded from all of the time you put into research.

Your best approach would be to combine the advice of a professional with your own research. Get as much information as possible about the stock. Make sure your research confirms the numbers and details of the stock you are interested in. And make sure that the stock fits your risk tolerance, investment objectives, and investment time frames.

I think its good to begin research at your end and look for penny stocks. But it is equally important to be updated about the industry and so its always advisable to subscribe to daily or weekly news letters from authentic sources. I think you cannot completely rely on people. I would rather engage more than giving my money to someone to put into penny share.
