In the US the Christmas season comes with a lot snow. It might not be the best weather to sell house but a need is a need and it must be taken care of in spite of the weather. Another idea is to install some sensitive lights that go automatically upon your arrival so that the buyer gets a picture of warmth; a deserted house that is dark looks scary.
