Sometime back I had to lose Weight fast for an upcoming award and i managed to shed off 10 pounds in a week. I know that was a little too fast and unhealthy but it also set me off to set out my Weight loss goals for future. I actually managed to lose 15 pounds by the end of the second week. I want to share here some of the tips i gathered on how to lose 6-10 pounds in 7 days....

I want to share here some of the tips i gathered on how to lose 6-10 pounds in 7 days.

First of let me say that losing 10 pounds in a week is not a healthy thing and you should try to stretch it out as far as possible while at the same time losing weight as naturally and as healthy as possible.

These are some of the tips I gathered when i managed to lose 10 pounds in a week.

1. My first step was to do a detox program to clean my body and to help me lose weight quickly. I made a homemade cocktail of water mixed with lemon juice, ginger and natural honey. I usually drank this drink in the day and in between my small portions of food. I drank my natural detox drink every day and it managed to fool my stomach without getting the stomach hunger pangs. Come to think of it, I’m still on this drink as I write this article. This drink alone has helped me achieve my weight loss goals a hundred fold.

2. I then worked on my food portions trying to limit the food intake and substituting the carbs with lightfoods. Atleast half my weight loss plate was veggies or fruit salad, a quarter was made up of white meat. I mostly interchanged grilled chicken with fish. The rest of my plate was made up of a fruit or a mushroom soup. I also tried as much as possible to keep my portions small without starving. I know that eating less food is not a long term weight loss method but it surely gave me some pretty fast weight loss results.

3. By the third day, i must admit things were not going too well and i noticed that my homemade weight lossplan was making me abit miserable due to the very low calorie intake. I decided to also include in my weight loss diet, 2 apples and some beans, mostly the canned baked ones. This removed the fatigue and lack of energy I usually felt in the day. I could have been as the main course or I split the potions and supplemented them with veggies or fruits. I could maybe have beans with a veggie salad for lunch and beans with a fruit or the occasional fish fillet.

4. I then learnt something about making my metabolism help me in burning the extraon my body. The way I was going to activate it was to include some breakfast snack and making sure I don’t eat late at night. The reason you shouldn’t eat late at night is that all the energy that is broken down from the meal is not used up since you are asleep and inactive. It is therefore stored up. And you don’t want that. That’s all fat deposit. I also started taking atleast 8 glasses of water to help in cleansing my body and keeping the metabolism working. This way it kept burning calories all day and helping mefaster.

5. I was still getting hungry during the day and so I spread out my meals throughout the day. I didn’t increase my portions. Just spreading them out such that I was taking six meals in a day and lots of water. This way I didn’t have to endure the hunger pangs and it also kept my metabolism cranking all day long and burning the extra fat stores and helping me lose weight quickly.

6. I further put away the sweet things and snacks including fats. Fat can be a nuisance since it is stored directly without being burned by metabolism. I must admit that I did eat a doughnut here and an ice cream here but all during the morning when metabolism is still at peak.

7. I also tried as much as possible to avoid manufactured juice and stuck to fruits. Juice has sugar added and this is all carbs which may work against you in any weight loss program. Sugar is usually counterproductive and reverses the gains in most weight loss diet plans.

8. I looked for motivation and going power from reading many articles and watching videos of people that have managed to lose their weight by half. It sure is a kicker when you know that someone else used your exact method to lose weight and managed to lose 20-30 pounds in less than 3 weeks.

I must admit that my plan looks too easy to lose 10 pounds in a week but follow it seriously and you can also lose 6-10 pounds of weight in a week or 10 days.
