Dark circles around the eyes are a common annoyance that everyone experiences on a regular basis. There are countless reasons why we get them, such as low energy, getting older, allergies, and sickness, just to name a few. Nevertheless whatever the reason, there is one thing that is incontestable, they can be exceptionally unpleasant. How do we remove them? How do we put a stop to them? Below are a few pointers on how to do just that.

Do not rub your eyes. A lot of people make the mistake of attempting to smooth the circles away. This is not the case, as it essentially hastens the circles because it often leads to the breaking of the fragile vessels in the undereye region. This in turn leads to the gathering of fluid/blood in the undereye area, which results in skin discoloration.

Dark bags under the eyes may be the result of poor blood flow. When there is poor blood flow, fluid and waste gets trapped all over the place in your tissue, but it's most apparent in the region under the eyes because it's incredibly fragile there. Sleeping in a raised position can keep this from happening by allowing for enhanced blood circulation.

If you repeatedly get enlarged under eye bags, the type that stick out a lot, applying something chilly on them for 10-15 minutes can help reduce their look. This may be something as simple as a cold spoon. Cold, fresh pieces of cucumbers is one more common remedy. These have the supplementary benefit of minerals and vitamins. Some of my friends stash a bottle of their preferred facial lotion inside the fridge, so you might want to experiment with that as well.
