Find balance in your life; you don’t need to study all the time, but you need to be persistent and efficient. Consider the path of becoming a surgeon as a marathon, not as a 100m race. All these can give you the necessary insight and experience. Every patient is a single and unique case. Studying close to experienced and accomplished people will teach you a lot on how to deal with the patient, his disease, how to evaluate someone’s condition.
A good surgeon is a smart and educated person. Knowing the procedures is not enough. You need to be able to focus on the man, on his case and deal with it as a professional and a human being. If you want to learn how to become a surgeon, stand by people who do this job for a long time.
