Irregular Mestruation

In a normal female, menstruation recurs in a cyclic pattern. The menstruation phase encompasses the average length of the menstruation cycle.
The menstrual cycle can be calculated as it recurs after every month. Hormonal changes are the main cause of menstruation that takes place within
a girl as she attains womanhood. During the menstruation period, the chemicals called hormones rise and fall.

Periods can at times be real pain. It can make one feel sick, thus leading to stomach ache and headache. Yes, periods can be a real pain, and things can turn out to be even worse if they become irregular. Pregnancy, stress, bulimia, anorexia, and birth control pills cause irregularity in menstruation. Irregular periods are one amongst the most common menstrual complaints around. Generally, irregular menstrual periods are not any big issues to get worry about, but on occasion, they can indicate various health complications. Irregular menstrual cycles can at times turn out to be warning sign of more serious disorders, especially endometriosis and uterine fibroids and tumors.

However, various factors can bring about irregularity in the menstruation cycle. Such irregularity is especially reported during the early adolescence phase. That is because the body takes time to adjust to the new hormonal forces. Menstrual irregularity refers to situations in which the normal menstruation pattern gets disrupted. Irregular menstrual cycle occurs when there is long menstrual cycle which might be caused due to missed ovulation or due to a short menstrual cycle which might be caused due to breakthrough bleeding and lastly it might be caused due to either an unusually heavy or light flow.

Some of the other determining elements in the subsequent stages are psychological stress like a change in ties, or nervousness or problems in adjustments as it happens when one joins a new profession or institution or even dietary habits that lead to alteration in weight. A normal menstruation cycle continues for a period varying from three to seven days. Counting from the first day of a menstrual period to the next commencement date, each normal menstruation takes place on the 29th day. But there can be slight variations in the starting date. The menstruation style usually takes several years to attain the regular pattern.
