Did you ever see a fragrant, herbal or skin care bar of soap and wish you had some liquid hand soap like that? Well, now you can. Here are two nifty liquid soap recipes you can use to transform bar soap into liquid soap. With the number of chemicals in hand soaps that would be a very wise idea. It will also save you gobs of money. Liquid hand soap costs more than twice the cost of a bar of soap.

You can be creative with these soap recipes. You can craft a custom made soap. You can make your own liquid soap from any natural bar of soap you like. You can experiment and make your own floral, spice, herbal or moisturizing soap if you like. You can add fragrances and ingredients you think would be good for your skin. You can also wrap the liquid soaps and give them as gifts.

Two Bars of Natural Soap, Castile Soap or Olive Oil Soap

Boiling Water

Essential Oils You Choose

Grate the bars of soap into a bowl. Be careful not to scrape your hand if you are using a hand grater.

Boil water. You will need 2 cups of boiling water for every cup of grated soap. You could also use herb tea instead of plain water.

Add several drops of the essential oil you chose. You could use lavender, mint, orange, chamomile, cinnamon, lemon or a combination of essential oils.

Stir the mixture until the soap is completely melted.

If it isn’t completely blended, stir it or use a mixer to blend it thoroughly.

Then let the mixture cool. It should not feel hot.

After the liquid soap has cooled, pour it into liquid soap dispensers.

Bar of Soap

Boiling Water

1 Tablespoon Honey

1 Teaspoon Glycerin

Grate a bar of soap.

Boil some water. Put a cup of boiling water in a blender and add the grated soap   Blend the soap and water at a high speed

Add 1 Tablespoon of honey and 1 Teaspoon of glycerin and stir

Let the mixture cool for 15 to 20 minutes then blend at a high speed again

Add cold water until there’s 6 cups of the mixture then blend at a high speed again

Pour the mixture from the blender into a storage container and let it cool. Do not close the storage container.

When the mixture has cooled you can pour the liquid soap into pump liquid soap dispensers. Shake the liquid soap before using it.

Here are some ways you can add herb tea, essential oils and moisturizers to this liquid soap recipe.

Herbal

Make a cup of hot herbal tea. Remove the tea bag, add water until there’s 8 ounces of tea and boil the tea. Put the boiling cup of herbal tea in the blender before adding the grated bar of soap. Then you will have herbal liquid soap.

Essential Oils

Add one teaspoon of an essential oil blend to the mixture after you add several cups of water.

Moisturizing Soap

While blending the soap add a Tablespoon of coconut oil, shea butter or cocoa butter for a moisturizing liquid soap.
