Latin America through Venezuela is going through an Ideological shift which is leaving the USA and its allies in the area increasingly isolated.

"Wag the Dog" is a euphemism for when a politician in trouble wages a war or does some other diversion to get the heat off his back.

What resource do you choose to get political news? Are you sure you are studying or watching a neutral version of events? Recent polls suggest that most journalists are usually liberal and therefore may vote Democrats than Republicans. Depending on the individual or the network they work with, their private opinions can sometimes affect the standard of the news they broadcast.

There are many websites on the web which claim to offer political news. Some do it very well but some use the information as a method of presenting their own views as truth. It's not complicated to manage data as a way to establish your own point. There may not be a big conspiracy to present only news that places the Republicans in a good light or the Democrats however this doesn't mean that specific broadcasts are biased.

There is a lot of choices on the internet and one of the best political forums are those where you feel comfortable knowing you may express your own opinions and can join in constructive arguments with your fellow members without being personally attacked. The discussion board can have an active membership with regular new posts and other people available for discussion. There will likely be plenty of new threads opened at least on a weekly basis. Politics is a fast-paced area and nobody wishes to belong to a forum, political or otherwise that nobody posts in.

If you've ever entered into a political debate, you will know that politics is usually intriguing, complicated but never easy. It's far too simplistic to try and categorize persons as being on the political left or political right.
