Want Your Husband To Change His Mind About The Divorce? Start Here

Do you want your husband to change his mind about the divorce? Just think about it: if you could just get your husband to listen to you, you know you could change his mind, right? But it seems like everything you've tried isn't working. In fact, it seems like he's being more stubborn than ever. And it is starting to make you wonder what else is going on. Does he have a girlfriend? Is he just so unhappy that he would rather be alone than even try to make your marriage work? If you keep hitting your head against the wall trying to figure out how to get your husband back, here are some tips for you that will make things easier.
1. Divorce is a power struggle. Even if you are used to fighting and arguing in your marriage, divorce takes it to a whole other level. After all, what could possibly say "I win!" better him telling you he wants a divorce? You can't do anything about it. Sure, you can beg him to stay. You can bargain with him. You can yell and cry and try everything within your power to make him regret this decision. But really, you don't have a choice if he wants a divorce. Even if you refuse to sign the papers, the judge will just grant it to him. So what do you do?
2. Don't activate the power struggle! Maybe you've already done the begging and pleading. Maybe you've even tried using the kids or the family as leverage to get him to change his mind about the divorce. But whatever you do, you have to try and stay as level-headed as you can from now on. That means no more arguing. One of the best ways to stop him cold right now would be to agree with him about the divorce.
3. Agree with him about the divorce? No, that's not a joke. If you agree with him right now, guess what happens? You stop the power struggle cold. He won't know what to do with himself if you tell him he's right! And guess what else happens? You get some of your control back! You do have a choice here. You have a choice about how to react to the situation. And instead of being reactive to his every move, it's time to be proactive! So take your power back. Tell him that you need some time to think about things, and that you think maybe he's right. Maybe you should get divorced after all.
4. Okay, but then what? If you really want to change your husband's mind about the divorce, then you have to stop waiting around for him to decide your fate. Go out and really test drive what your life will be like without him. Pick yourself up, dust yourself off, and take charge. That doesn't mean go all crazy and start dating or anything. But do things that make you happy! Show him that you won't just wallow in misery because he doesn't want to be with you anymore. Just this and step 3 alone might be enough to change his mind. He won't be expecting it. And it will drive him crazy that you aren't fighting to keep him around anymore. He might even start pursuing you, wanting you back! How nice would that be?
