Does your Mom, Grandma or Wife have her own life verse or special saying? The term "life verse" refers to special words we carry inside our hearts. It symbolizes a Bible verse, poem, song or special words that we associate with a specific memory.

Some of the most popular life verses are about feelings of love. Women remember the verse "And now these three remain: faith, hope and love. But the greatest of these is love" from 1 Corinthians 13:13 NIV as the Wedding Verse and "Love Never Fails" from 1 Corinthians 13:8 as a reminder of their love. Many are familiar with the song based upon the life verse from Psalm 107:1 NIV: Give thanks to the Lord, for he is good; his love endures forever. In the song by Chris Tomlin, the words "Love Endures Forever" are etched into our hearts and minds.

Many women have shared the words "For I know the plans I have for you," declares the LORD, "plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future" from Jeremiah 29:11 as a special verse of strength during a Breast Cancer Journey. Nurses and caretakers have shared stories with me "Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and lean not on your own understanding; In all your ways acknowledge Him, and He shall direct your paths" from Proverbs 3:5-6 as a special life verse.

Books Based Upon Life Verses

Christian authors have written books based upon a specific scripture verse, such as the womens Bible Study called Walk By Faith written by Jennifer Rothschield, a blind woman who sees with the help of God. Her book is based upon the words from 2 Corinthians 5:7 NKJV, "For we walk by faith, not by sight."

Debbie Alsdorf leads a womens ministry called Design 4 Living, and shares her life verse from Romans 8:28 NKJV "And we know that all things work together for good to those who love God, to those who are the called according to His purpose." She has written several books based upon the scriptures, designed a collection of jewelry called "His" and is a featured speaker at many conferences for Christian Women. She shares her testimony of Romans 8:28 with other women.

My Life Verse

As a Christian Mom, one of my favorite life verses is "Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your strength" from Deuteronomy 6:5 NIV. These words guide my day and remind me to focus on those values that matter, rather than the influences of living in a California society. The verse centers me, digging my feet into God-centered living rather than Me-Centered living. It reminds me that my heart and my strength and my soul belong to God, and I work for Him as I raise my children, meet the needs of my family and run a Christian Business.
