Importance Of Dog Breeds 

Dog is a lovely pet and most of the dog owners are extremely cautious for the selection of the dog breed. The dog breeds are the ancestral lines of the dogs. Some dog breeds are natural while selective dog breeding is also carried out for getting the excellent dog breeds. For thousands of years the dogs have been selectively breeding. Selecting dog breeding is done by two ways firstly, inbreeding the dogs from the same ancestral lines and secondly, inbreeding the dogs from different ancestral lines. When a dog breed is healthy and perfect then breeding is usually done from the same ancestors.
For enhancing the features of a specific breed, different combination of dog breeds are bred. As a result of the selective dog breeding, there is a wide variety of dog breeds. The characteristics, nature and functions of a specific breed can be totally different as compare to the other dog breeds.
All dog breeds are recorded in three categories which include registered dog breeds, rare dog breeds and new dog breeds. The dog breeds are generally categorized on the basis of their functions and there are seven types of dog breeds including Companion dogs, Guard dogs, Hunting dogs, Pastoral dogs, Sled dogs, Extinct dogs, Hypoallergenic breeds and Police dog breeds.
A companion dog is a pet and it is not used for work or specific tasks. Most of the people keep them as hobby or for pleasure and these dogs are friendly by nature.
A guard dog is a dog breed which is used by the people to guard against the unwanted people. The special feature of this dog breed is that they bark more as compare to the other dogs in order to make the owners alert and active. These dogs are trained to attack the suspicious people. The dog breed which is used for hunting purposes is known as hunting dog breed. These dogs are further categorized as hounds, terriers and gun dogs.
The pastoral dog breed include the dogs to work livestock. Sled dogs are healthy and powerful dogs because they are used for pulling the wheel less vehicle on runners. The dog species which do not longer exist are known as extinct dog breeds. Hypoallergenic dog breeds are also known as crossbreeds that are specifically bred for the individuals who have allergic issues. The dog breed which is used for the investigative and detective purposes by the police forces is known as Police dog breed.
Therefore, we can say that dog breeds are really useful for us in various ways and to enhance the quality of the dog breeds, proper breeding and training are essential.
