How to Build a Ramp

A Ramp can be useful for a lot of things like moving heavy things, a skateboard ramp, bicycling etc. It’s pretty easy actually to build your own ramp of custom dimensions. In fact, it is better if you get one a custom built as it would be as per your exact requirements. As it is not costly to build and takes little time, you get build it all by yourself.
Materials Needed:
1.A Sheet with design and measurements
2.Wooden sheet
3.Bricks
4.Nails
5.Screws
7.Rubber Heads
8.Gutter
Tools Needed:
1.Ruler
2.Marker
3.Hammer
4.Handsaw
5.Chisel
6.Gum
7.Measuring tape
8.Staple Gun
9.Thread/String
10.Driller
Procedure:
First of all, confirm the specifications and measurements of your ramp on your blue print and also check for it’s technical feasibility as well as portability. Sometimes, designs that look good on paper might not be so convenient to use or not possible practically.
Then measure the ground where it is to be installed and double check with your ramp measurements. If the ramp is fairly big, build it on site itself.
Prepare the framework first and once you are done with it, cut the pieces of plywood according to your measurements. Make sure they fit together after cutting. For a smoother transition, sand the bottom edge of the top sheet at an angle flush with the ground.
After everything is ready, including the ground, measure the lengths of the outside faces and cut crossbeams commensurate with the lengths. Using a hole driller, make holes in the beams where the ramp is to be fitted and firm them together using the washers. Once you are done with each and every hole, test the firmness of the ramp by giving it trial shakes and stepping on it. If something looks loose, e.g. a nail, remove it and replace it with a new one to avoid problems in future.
