Open Question: What's the deal with all the goals?(Please read on)?
3 teams last night scored at least 6 goals..There was only 3 games on the schedule..Going back to last Thursday there were NINE games that had a team scoring at least 6 goals. My questions-Is it the goalies?The defense or the fast paced offenses?Also when do we start hearing grumblings that the NHL is making the nets smaller or the goalie equipment bigger? Open Question: Should the NFL be renamed the NCL?= National Criminal League?
After all Pacman Jones continues to be rewarded for his crimes by continuing to be reinstated. If this happened in MLB NBA or NHL the media would make a big deal out of it but since the NFL is so popular it's swept under the rug. Goodell is gutless & continues to reward people who has been given too many chances as it is. A man is paralyzed b/c of Jones but yet he continues to get rewarded. It's a disgrace. read more...

National hockey league is a game that features about 30 odd ice hockey teams and it was created way back in 1917 in Canada. It is part of the major leagues that takes place in North America and National hockey League is commonly referred to as NHL. The thirty teams are divided into two sects of fifteen teams in each who play in all major championships. When it was initially founded, it had only about 4 teams and over the years it has gone through a major metamorphosis and today has many more teams and is very popular around the world. Of the total playing teams, about 6 of them are in Canada and rest in America. Its only in the recent past that there have been teams from Europe who have joined this league and competing in major tournaments. The leading team in National Hockey League are the Montreal Canadiens followed by Toronto Maple leafs, other teams are all close on the heels of these teams. In America, the leading team is the Detroit Red Wings and New York Yankees.

All these states have a qualified team of players who represent them in all major league matches. The games are played in an indoor stadium for a duration of 60minutes, with both teams having a go at it, and whoever scores the most goals wins. If the teams are at a tie , having the same score, then overtime will be awarded and again whoever can score a couple of extra goals wins. The players will be given a penalty shot, which means they play solo against the goal keeper of the opponent team and try to score. There is no ball in this game, but a puck, and the players don't play with bats, they use sticks. The ice hockey is a game played by those who have good balancing skills and are able to walk around on ice. It takes a lot of practice to get used to walking or skating on ice, and more so when running about playing a game, trying to dodge other players and focusing on the goal post.

Fans from America or familiar with the sport will remain loyal fans wherever they go and will either come back home to watch a match or find a way to watch it live. The Stanley cup championships is one of the most popular championships in National Hockey League and current leaders are the Montreal Canadians and the New York Yankees with most number of wins. The National Hockey league season is played in parts, in October and then a play off in April and finally the Stanley cup championships after the qualifying teams have played the seven series and come out winners. The premier hockey players are all professional players who have chosen this as a career option. And so, they spend their time representing their team, participating in one league after the other unless some injury forces them to rest and miss a match.
