Picking a Golf Ball PDF VersionPrinter Friendly Version

Every player has a favorite golf ball and so will you after you play for awhile and figure what ball rolls best for you....

Deciding on a golf ball for most players is an easy decision at the start. You are probably will choose something that is not expensive, and you can find these low cost balls for sale at all of the big retailers. You will find that friends and family will donate you some as soon as they find out that you are a beginner.

As you start to figure it out you will find that some balls seem to fit how you play. You could play ten different balls and find that they all do not go the same distance when you swing into them. This is not unusual as everyone has a different swing plane.

Some players will have a need for a not as soft ball with low spin, and others feel a need to have one with a soft feel and a little more spin. This is not the same for every player, and as you better understand your swing, you will lean towards a golf ball that makes sense.

How you handle the putter and hit it onto the putting green from within 100 yards is just as important as making it to the fairway with your driver. One ball may be fine off the tee, but does not work as well with a putter and vice versa, but eventually as your game improves, your ball needs will also change.

There are many top pro choices like Nike, Titlelist and Taylor Made to name a few. Price is always important if you are on a budget, so check golf websites for the lowest prices.
