Looking to find a Christmas or birthday gift for that special, geeky someone in your life? Geeks can sometimes be a little tough to shop for - they don't always have the same...ahem...tastes as the rest of us. But with a little creative thinking, you can get something your dearest geek will really enjoy, and score yourself some geek love in the process. Here are some ideas to get you started:

Web Cam
Some geeks may be a little apprehensive about showing themselves on camera but you can kindly remind him or her that it can be used for a variety of other geeky experiments. Perhaps it can be used as a security system for that collection of unopened action figures, or as a tracking device for that foam missile launcher. Of course, a web cam also has more mundane uses, such as video chat.

Wii Fit
If your geek could use a little more physical activity, consider getting Wii Fit. It's a fun way to add that extra little bit of balance to your geek's life. The Fit has several exercise options like aerobics or strength training. The Wii Fit is a bit pricey but it will pay for itself the first time you watch your geek try out yoga.

Amazon Kindle
For geeks who love to read, the Kindle is basically a device for storing and reading thousands of books, which can be downloaded wirelessly and read immediately. No more waiting for that copy of Gray's Anatomy (the book - your geek has never heard of the TV show!) to arrive in the mail. It's a fantastic way to keep up with lots of magazine subscriptions, too.

Well that's it. Good luck shopping for your geek. Whatever you get, make sure it is in tune with your geek's archetype by checking out Wired Magazine's Geekster Handbook.
