Submission Guidelines
By submitting your articles to ContentCaboodle.com, you agree that any webmaster, publisher, or editor may re-print your article(s) subject to the basic terms and conditions outlined on this site. (view author terms of service)
These editorial guidelines are designed to help you understand what we accept and don't accept for inclusion in our article database. Before you submit to our site we would appreciate it if you read this page first.
Links:
HTML links are allowed in both the article body and the author resource box. The limit is no more than two links in the article body and a maximum of two links in the author resource box.
Links placed within the article content must be for reference and may not lead directly to a sales page. They must also not lead to redirect services or pages that automatically redirect visitors.
We do allow direct affiliate links to be placed in the author resource box, however because of repeated abuses all links within author's resource boxes will be automatically tagged as "nofollow".
Resource box links should be relevant to the theme and content of the accompanying article, or to the author of the article. Resource box links may not point to unrelated web sites or pages.
We are not tagging links within the article body as "nofollow" because these links are manually reviewed for relevance and legitimacy by an editor prior to articles being approved for publishing.
Title:
Do not use ALL CAPS for the title. If you submit a title using all caps we will reject the article.
HTML is not allowed in the title
Article Body :
Please keep your article a reasonable length. The preferred length of an article is 300 to 750 words.
The following HTML tags are allowed in the article body:
- <b>BOLD</b>
- <i>ITALICS</i>
- <u>UNDERLINE</u>
- <a href="url">html link</a>
Don't put huge disclaimers in the body of the article. ContentCaboodle.com has a TOS which covers publishing and reprint rights so there is no need for including a disclaimer with individual articles.
Do not type your article in ALL CAPS and do not use an enlarged font size for your entire article body.
And last, please make sure to select the proper category to submit your article to. This will ensure your article gets accepted sooner.
Article Content:
We have no interest in censoring nor shaping opinions here at Content Caboodle, however submissions that contain erotic adult, hateful or harmful commentary will not be accepted, nor will articles that describe or encourage illegal activities.
Having gathered opinions from our readership, we will no longer be allowing articles related to the following topics as they have proven to be of little to no value or interest to our readers:
- Casinos and gambling
- Ugg Boots
- Torrent networks
- Warez or any software downloading other than authorized demos, trials and shareware/freeware
We understand that there can be legitimate articles written about each of these topics, however our readers have overwhelmingly expressed to us that they have no interest in articles on these topics, so while you may write a fantastic article on one of these topics, it obviously isn't a good fit with the readers frequenting our service so is to everyone's advantage that it not be published here.
We provide a platform for the exchange of ideas and information that is open to visitors of all ages and require that submissions be made with an understanding and respect for the audience that will view them. All of the rules and guidelines are designed to strike a balance as a welcoming and friendly service for authors, readers and publishers alike.
Article Summary Descriptions and Keywords
We have always provided authors with the ability to add summary descriptions and keywords to their articles as a means to increase visibility and for on-page optimization purposes, however as an increasing number of our readers and users utilize the RSS and other options we make available, it has become clear that articles which are published without summary descriptions and keyword references are often being overlooked and ignored.
This means it is to your own benefit as an author to include a brief summary and relevant keywords when submitting an article.
At this time we are not going to make this a requirement, however we will be giving publishing preference to articles which do include summary descriptions and keyword tags. Our editors will still review and approve articles that don't contain them, but only after they have reviewed all submitted articles which do.
Again, adding a summary and keyword tags is to your own benefit as well as the benefit of our readers and users, so we hope that this will encourage everyone to take the extra minute or two to include them with their article submissions from now on.
